For media electronics products that MZ generation wants to purchase and replace in the future, laptops (29.7% and 32.0% respectively) were cited the most for both late millennial and electric millennial products that currently have media electronics. The media appliances that Generation Z wants to buy the most were beam projectors (28.5% of media electronics holders). With the recent popularization of OTT services, there is a growing need to watch content through large screens, and interest in beam projectors can be seen.

As household appliances that MZ generation wants to purchase and replace in the future, both Generation Z and Millennials cited clothing management devices (stylers, air dressers, etc.) the most. The “clothes manager,” which helps wash and maintain clothes, is considered the No. 1 popular home appliance (19.1%, No. 1) that MZ generation wants to purchase, and it has been confirmed that it is highly willing to purchase. Meanwhile, massage devices and massage chairs were the highest among other electronic products that MZ generation wanted to purchase and replace in the future, including hobbies and small home appliances.

Meanwhile, when MZ generation, which currently owns household appliances, looked into brands by electronics that are willing to buy, “Dyson (39.8%)” ranked first as the wireless cleaner brand. Samsung Electronics (33.8%) was the No. 1 laptop brand that MZ generation is willing to purchase. Among TV brands, “LG Electronics (51.3%)” ranked first in the overall purchase intention of MZ Generation, but “Samsung Electronics” ranked first in the Z Generation, showing a difference. The survey was conducted through an online panel survey method using a structured questionnaire for seven days from April 1 to April 7, 2022 for 900 samples of men and women aged 15 to 41 nationwide, and used the Korean panel service “Panel Now” operated by DataSpring.
